A meal fit for a king
Lunch at the Royal Hotel, Greymouth
There are several things that make the highlight of a day. After a four hour train ride through the Southern Alps from Christchurch to Greymouth, when you arrive there at lunch time, you wonder what might be good for lunch. After looking at the menu, I settled for the staple of Bangers and Mash on a cold, damp day. When served up steaming hot, it went down as a meal fit for a king… very apt for a meal served at Greymouth’s Royal Hotel.
