Sunrise over Lake Martook

Lake Martook at sunrise

Part of Australia’s national heritage, the Grampians National Park is nestled away about 4 hours from Melbourne, and has some of the most spectacular views from its mountain ranges. The best time to enjoy what is to be seen is at sunrise. This was a shot taken with my Sigma 10-20mm lens, shooting at 20mm from a trail leading past Reid’s lookout and onto the balconies. The sun’s first rays beautifully illuminated the waters of Lake Martook in the distance which serves as a notable water catchment for regional Victoria. This was shot in a year when we had had very goodamounts of  rainfall that had replenished the lake.
