Cape Woolamai at Sunset

Cape Woolamai Pinnacles at sunset
A little bit of self promotion on this image – this one made it to the Victorian Association of Photographic Societies exhibition in May this year, competing against several other pieces from very well established photographers from around Australia. It didn’t win, but came in very honourably.
This is a shot that I had taken one evening when I decided to take a drive down the coast and watch the sun go down by the Pinnacles. Its a good 40 minutes on foot from the car park, over very uneven ground, and the descent to the spot is a gravel path that has a gradient of 1:1. I made it there safely – but managed to roll my ankle on the way back while missing my step on a loose rock on the return path. At least I came away with this image!
